bilby.gw.conversion.binary_love_fit_lambda_symmetric_mass_ratio_to_lambda_antisymmetric(lambda_symmetric, mass_ratio)[source]

Convert from symmetric tidal terms and mass ratio to antisymmetric tidal terms using BinaryLove relations. This function does only the fit itself, and doesn’t account for marginalisation over the uncertanties in the fit

This function will use the implementation from the CHZ paper, which marginalises over the uncertainties in the BinaryLove fits. This is also implemented in LALInference through the function LALInferenceBinaryLove.

Parameters:
lambda_symmetric: float

Symmetric tidal parameter.

mass_ratio: float

Mass ratio (mass_2/mass_1, with mass_2 < mass_1) of the binary

Antisymmetric tidal parameter.
